It appears there is a doom for the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Presidential career as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates declare full support for the Minister for Trade and Industry Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten.
Scenes from the Ashanti Regional Delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held on Wednesday, 27th October, 2021 in Kumasi has confirmed that, most of the delegates have doved their hearts for Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten and declare support for him as the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2024 general elections.
The Garden City, where the conference was held has been designed and decorated with portraits, photos, pictures and flyers of the Minister of Trade and Industry as a way of supporting him to win the primaries against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and others.

At the Garden City, series of labels were seen on different placards promoting Alan John Kwadzo Kyerematen’s Presidential ambition.
Some of the placards have the inscriptions as;
1. “The Unifier: Alan Kyeremanten, Ye nim wo firi tete,” “Jobs4 the People, Cash4 the People: Alan Kyeremanten,”
2. “The Hope of Ghana: Alan Kyeremanten.”
3. “Next to Lead: Alan Kyeremanten, Ye nim wo firi tete.”

Scene from the conference ground confirmed that, alot of NPP delegates have openly endorsed the Minister.
According to the delegates, ‘Alan Cash’ is regarded as a smart and time-tested politician in the New Patriotic Party who is much capable of breaking the 8-year cycle of governance in Ghana.

The support for Alan John Kwadzo Kyerematen by the delegates is a sign of good relief in the New Patriotic Party as against the two-termed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and three (3) others thus; the Minister for Food and Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the former Energy Minister Hon. Boakye Agyarko and Former Minister for Railways Development Hon. Joe Ghartey.

Alan John Kwadzo Kyerematen was Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States and later Minister of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and the Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI), under the President Kufuor-led NPP government.
He served as a trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he coordinated the African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC).
