Former Member of Parliament for KEEA Constituency and the Local Government Service Head, Dr. Stephen Nana Ato Arthur, has donated a cheque of GH¢ 24,000 towards the construction of the National Cathedral in Accra.
The donation was in response to the call made by the government to individuals and organizations in the country to support the construction of the historic National Cathedral project as it is the first of its kind.
According to Dr Stephen Arthur thoughts of helping speed up the project occurred to him weeks ago but he decided to make the donation as part of his 60th birthday celebration.
Dr Stephen Arthur seized the opportunity to call on all Ghanaians who are well-to-do in various societies to donate and help build this historic sanctuary for the benefit of the entire country.
Dr Opoku Mensah, the Executive Director of the National Cathedral Secretariat, received the Cheque and expressed appreciation to the donor on behalf of the entire team at the secretariat.
