EC announces details of individuals who can’t vote on December 7, 2020

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has swiftly announced categories of Ghanaian eligible voters who cannot cast their vote on December 7, 2020.
According to the Electoral Commission, people whose name were placed on the Special Voters List were supposed to cast their vote during the Special Voting exercise on December 1, 2020. Such names will not appear on the main register on 7 December, 2020.

This means that, anyone who’s name appears on the Special Voting List but failed to vote will not be allowed to participate in the December 7, 2020 polls.
Some organizations that applied for the Special Voting and have their names captured on the Special Voting List because they have special Election Day assignments will also not be allowed to vote on the December 7.

4. Ghana Immigration Service
5. Ghana National Fire Service
6. Information Services Department
7. National Ambulance Service
8. Customs Service
9. Prisons Service
10. Ghana Journalists Association (GJA)
11. Ghana Police Service
12. National Media Commission
