Police in Ho have arrested suspect Dzomeku Godsway a 34 years old farmer for setting ablaze his aunt’s house in Sokode Etoe in the Volta region on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
On Sunday, January 2, 2022, Police received a complainant that the suspect had set a two-bedroom self-contained house ablaze at Sokode Etoe near Ho.

Police visited the scene and found two rooms burnt together with other personal effects.
He was subsequently arrested at the Ho lorry station upon a tip-off.

The suspect has confessed to the police that his aunt promised to give him one of the rooms but later rented it out. On the day of the incident, he went to steal from the tenant’s house after which set it ablaze to cover up for mattress, an amount of GH¢500 he stole.
The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting investigation and will be put before the court.
