Full list of shortlisted MMDCEs applicants for Oti Region [Leaked Reports]

The shortlisted MMDCEs applicants for Oti Region has surfaced in a leaked report prepared by the MMDCEs Vetting Committee to the office of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The widely circulated report was sighted by Coverghana.com.gh on the late hours of Friday, 10th September, 2021 soon after the NPPs press conference.

In the report, the Vetting Committee has made recommendation to the office of the president for approval and subsequent nomination.

The Committee has not made any recommendation of applicants for Krachi West Municipality and Biakoye District.

The shortlisted applicants announced waiting for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s final nomination are as follow;

1. Kadjebi District – Mr. Wilson Agbanyo

2. Biakoye District – No decision yet

3. Jasikan Municipality – Madam Elizabeth Kessewaah Anim

4. Krachi East Municipality – Mr. Abubakari Salifu

5. Krachi Nchumuru District – Mr. Kwasi Nkrumah Ogyile

6. Krachi West Municipality – No decision yet

7. Nkwanta South Municipality – Mr. Lenwah Bright Kwame

8. Nkwanta North District – Nawugma Kidinang William.

Leaked Report: Volta Region shortlisted MMDCEs applicants

Below is the full list of shortlisted applicants and the Committee’s justification.

The committee recommends Mr. Wilson Agbanyo for nomination as DCE.

The nomination of a Ewe will bode well for the party and its fortunes among the majority Ewe group in the constituency.  Mr. Agbanyo is an active member of the party, and he campaigned vigorously for success in the 2020 general elections.

He indicated that he would work to ensure increased IGF and drive local development initiatives. He plans to make the party attractive, particularly to the Ewe community.

Mr. Agbanyo was the constituency organizer from 2001 to 2005, two-time constituency research officer 2009 to 2013 and 2014 to 2018, head of the collation center in 2020, and the leader of the D-Day operations.

He holds MA in Human Resource Management and a BA in Religion & Classics, both from the University of Cape Coast.

The committee recommends Madam Elizabeth Kessewaah Anim for nomination as MCE.

Madam Elizabeth Kessewaah is an intelligent lady who has worked and continues to do so passionately for the growth and attractiveness of the party. She is well connected and will use her networks to gradually help Buem to become a business hub in the Oti Region. She discussed a plan to establish an apprenticeship center to train the unemployed youth in ventures built around the natural resource endowment of the area.


She was the D-Day coordinator for the 2020 general elections and the constituency secretary. Madam Anim was a Tescon Women Organizer while studying at the Jasikan College of Education.

She holds BA in Education from the University of Education, Winneba.

The committee recommends Mr. Abubakari Salifu for nomination MCE. Mr. Abubakari Salifu worked spiritedly for the party in the 2020 general elections. He is singled out as the one person, who does not belong to factions or camps in the constituency. He relates well with everyone, a tendency that could be leveraged to unify and grow the party.

Traditional authorities in the constituency have given very good remarks about him saying, his nomination will promote peace and unity in the constituency.

Mr. Abubakari is the Organizer for Oti Region. He was the constituency organizer for two terms, assistant secretary, and a TESCON secretary in Legon.

He holds MA in Leadership and Development and BA in Administration.

The committee recommends Mr. Kwasi Nkrumah Ogyile for nomination as DCE. Mr. Kwasi Nkrumah Ogyile has an in-depth knowledge of the local issues and has worked and continues to work to improve the fortunes of the party in the constituency. As the chairman, he embraced the PC and worked for the success of the party in the 2020 general elections. He has fairly good working relations with the party executives, the youth, and chiefs and elders.

Holds BSc in Electrical Engineering from KNUST.

On the account of testimonies by party people, the committee humbly recommends that Mr. Innocent Katatchi, the 2020 PC, is appointed to a position to help resource him for the general elections in 2024.

The committee recommends Mr. Lenwah Bright Kwame for renomination as MCE. Mr. Lenwah Bright Kwame was impressive at the vetting. He demonstrated superior knowledge of party affairs and local government administration. He shared a vision that focuses on mobilizing local resources to promote socio-economic development. He was the Oti Regional collation agent for the 2020 general elections.

He holds a BA in Environmental and Resource Management from the University of Development Studies.

The committee recommends Nawugma Kidinang William for nomination as DCE. He is a three-time constituency secretary, very well-liked, and has an in-depth knowledge of the constituency. He was instrumental in the 2020 general elections which saw the NPP votes increased exponentially.

He holds a BSc in Agri-Business from E.P. University College and a Diploma in Basic Education from the University of Cape Coast.
