The MMDCEs Vetting Committee Reports for shortlisted applicants have been leaked. The reports which were forward to the office of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has captured a number of applicants who were shortlisted for nomination.

He has a vision to promote the local economy by ensuring an increase in the IGF. Plans to strengthen party-government relations. Mr. Okyere campaigned well for the party in the 2020 elections and understands the dynamics of the constituency.

 

He was a National Council member of the party 2014 to 2017. He is also a former second vice-Chairman for Greater Accra Region from 2014 to 2017 and a former Organizer from 2006to 2010.

He holds Diploma in Marketing issued by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The committee recommend Mr. Charles O. Boateng for nomination as MCE.

He is a grassroots member of the party who has worked tirelessly for the party. He enjoys widespread support with party executives, youth, and opinion leaders in the constituency.

 

He was the Constituency Chairman, Tema Central from 2013 to date and executive committee member of the Greater Accra party from 2013 to date.

 

He holds an HND in Accounting from Open University, UK and

 

He holds an executive Project Management- (Economic Development) Economic and Management Science, University of Stellenbosch. SA; 2020, and Business Leadership and Management- (Executive Development) Business School – University of Stellenbosch; 2019. 

It’s suspicious that he holds an HND, accounting from the Open University.

He is a member of the Communications Team from 2004 to date and a former Financial Secretary. He was also the Campaign Manager of the 2016 elections in the constituency.

He was the regional secretary from 2009 to 2017, constituency secretary for Ododiodidio from 2006 to 2007 and the PC for Odododiodio in 2008.

He holds MSc in Local Economic Development from the Institute of Local Government Studies, MA in International Relation and Diplomacy from GIMPA and BSc in Public Administration from Legon.

The committee recommends Mr. Renner Awatey Kwesi Noah for be nomination as DCE.

He participated actively in the 2020 elections. He has an impressive knowledge of the local government system. He also demonstrated how he can effectively forge a good relationship with the tripod to ensure the development and party unity.

He is member of the Communication Team.

He holds MA in Divinity from the American Bible University, Diploma in Theology from The Bible Institute of Ghana and Certificate in Human Resource Management from Graduate School of Governance and Leadership.

The committee recommends Mr. George Cyril Bray for renomination as MCE.

Per all indications, he has performed satisfactorily. He campaigned actively in the 2020 general elections. He has a good relationship with stakeholders in the constituency.

 

He was the research and elections officer in and campaign manager 2012.  He was also the campaign manager, 2016 elections.

 

He holds MSc in Strategic Management and Leadership from KNUST, BBA in Marketing from Methodist University and a Certificate in Event Management from Ghana Institute of Journalism.

The committee recommends Mr. Kofi Ofori for nomination as MCE. He plans to improve the road networks, Health and sanitation in the district. He is very popular in the constituency. He has campaign for the party in the 2020 general elections and continues to campaign for the party.

He served as chairman of chairmen from 2004 to 2008. He was a regional as well as constituency campaign team member for the 2008 and 2012 general elections.

He holds Diploma in Business Studies, Top Accountancy School and Secretaryship.

She related with party executives and the chiefs. She has working knowledge of the local government system. She worked actively in the 2020 general. Her doors were open to everyone.

 

She served as Regional Women Organizer from 1996 to 2002, constituency Women Organizer from 1994 to1996 and Chairperson of Council of Elders from 2017 to date.

 

She holds O’ Level Certificate from Okuapeman Secondary School.

The committee recommends Mr. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor for renomination as MCE.

He worked tirelessly to ensure the party increase its votes in the constituency. He also campaigned effectively in every corner of the constituency. He has forged a good relationship with party executives in the constituency, and he particularly ensured the tripod worked effectively in the course of his work.

 

He was the constituency campaign manager in the 2016 elections and a former constituency first vice chairman from 2013-2017.

 

He holds AACA Part II. He is currently pursuing BSc in Accounting Information System at the Regent University College.

The committee recommend Dr. Abubakari Sadick Ahmed for nomination as MCE.

He campaigned actively in both 2016 and 2020 general elections. He is a long-standing member of the NPP in the constituency and understands issues that needs urgent attention to ensure party growth and development. His service is appreciated by both the youth, chiefs, party executives, and the opinion leaders. He demonstrated a good understanding of the local government system.

 

He has served as a member of the Council of Elders 2017 to date and also the chairman of D-Day Committee and Coordinator for the Madina West One Zone.

 

He holds BA in French/Arabic from the University of Ghana, Post Graduate Diploma IN Mass Communication Studies from the University of Ghana and PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, SA.

The committee recommends Mr. Mohammed Bashiru Kamara for nomination as the MCE.

He is a long-standing member of the party in the constituency. He has been at the forefront of the political campaigns since 2009. He is widely respected based on his good interpersonal communication skills.

 

He has served as constituency secretary from 2009 to date; electoral area coordinator from 2004 to 2008 and member of the 2004 general elections campaign team.

 

He is studying for an LLB at UPS and has a BA in Political Science from the University of Ghana.

The committee recommends Mr. Joseph Nyarni Stephen for renomination as MCE.

As the MCE, he worked very well with the party in the constituency.

 

He was a member of the 2020 Campaign Team, 2016 D-Day Coordinator, a former Constituency Chairman from 2014 to 2017, and a former constituency second vice chairman from 2011-2012.

 

He holds HND in Veterinary Science from the Institute of Micaela Bastidas, Isla de la Juventud, Cuba.

The committee recommends Mr. Michael Nii Boye Adjei for nomination as MCE.

He understands the local government system. He spoke well of how he help the president in actualizing the developmental agenda of the nations. He discussed a well-conceived plan to increase internally generated funds to augments the Common Fund.

 

He served as the chairperson for the Welfare Committee, Amasaman. Member, Finance Committee, Amasaman. Member of Campaign Team.

 

He holds MA in Development Management from GIMPA and BA in Geography and Resource Development from University of Ghana.

The committee recommends Mr. Simon Sekyim for nomination as MCE.

Mr. Simon has a good knowledge of the constituency and local governance. He was very active during the 2020 general elections. He has the respect of the chiefs, youth groups, and the party executives.

 

He was a member of the Greater Accra 2020 Operational Team and the D-Day coordinator for both 2016 and 2020 elections in the Trobu constituency. He is a former electoral area coordinator for Fise.

 

He is pursuing MA in Public Health at the University of Ghana. He holds BSc in Nursing from the Presbyterian University College

GA EAST 1. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann

The committee recommends Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann for nomination as MCE.

The nomination of Elizabeth will balance the ethnic composition of the constituency. She worked actively during the 2020 general elections. She has great appeal to across the ethnic groups in the constituency.

 

She was the secretary to the General Secretary from 2008-2014. She is a member of the Dome-Kwabenya’s Women’s Wing from 2016 to date.

She holds BSc in Business Administration from UPSA.

AYAWASO CENTRAL  1. Alhaji Mohammed Quaye The committee recommends Alhaji Mohammed Quaye for renomination as MCE.

The tripod worked well under his two-year tenure as MCE. He also funded the activities of the party in the constituency.

He is a former regional organizer of the party from 2000 to 2008 and Ayawaso Central Chairman.

 

He holds GCE O. Level Certificate from St. John’s Grammar School.

AYAWASO NORTH 1. Aminu Mohammed Zakari

The committee recommends Mr. Aminu Mohammed Zakaria for renomination as MCE.

 

He was the PC in the 2016 general elections. He was also the National Press Secretary of the Nasara Wing from 2004 to 2007.

He holds an MBA from the University of Ghana Business SCHOOL, and BSc in Administration from University of Ghana.

AYAWASO WEST 1. Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah

The committee recommends Madam Sandra Owusu-Ahinkrah for renomination as MCE.

He plans to work hard to complete on-going projects in the municipality. It is indicative in available accounts that she did well as MCE. The tripod worked well during her tenure. She supported the 2020 general elections with funds and logistics.

 

She is pursuing MA in Program in Supply Chain Management at Ghana Telecom University and has B.Ed. in Home Economics from Bronx Community College.

AYAWASO EAST 1. Adam Sabo Abdul-Rahman

The committee recommends Mr. Adam Sabo Abdul-Rahman for nomination as MCE. His displayed a clear understanding of the local political and developmental issues in Ayawaso. He is also a popular with the party executives, youth groups, opinion leaders, and the chiefs. He also has knowledge of the local government system procedure.

 

He is Member of the National Communication Team. He is former Regional Secretary from 2017 to 2018, former Deputy Regional Secretary from 2013 to 2017 and a former constituency secretary, 2009 to 2013.

 

He is currently pursuing MA in business administration from UPSA and holds BSc in Business Administration (Marketing) from UPSA.

ADA WEST  1. Sampson Tetteh Kpankpah

The committee recommends Mr. Sampson Tetteh Kpankpah for nomination as MCE.

He understands the operations of the local government system. He relates well with the youth, constituency executives, opinion leaders and the chiefs. He was very instrumental in the 2020 elections. He understands the dynamics of the constituency.

 

Mr. Kpankpah has served as constituency organizer for Sege from 2014 to date, Collation Agent in 2016; electoral area coordinator from 2002 to 2006 and polling station secretary from 1996 to 1998.

He holds a BSc in Construction Technology from KNUST and Construction Technology (Part 1 Part 11) from Kumasi Polytechnic.

ADA EAST 1. Sarah Dugbakie Pobee

The committee recommends Madam Sara Dugbakie Pobee for renomination as MCE.

She was the PC for the in 2020 general elections. The votes of the party increase in percentage terms. She understands the dynamics of the district. The tripod worked well and may continue to do so if she is renominated.

 

She related well with the constituency executives. She rented an office for the party.  She has very good relationship with the chiefs, and the youth as well as council of elders of the constituency spoke well about her.

 

She holds G.C.E “O” Level and a Certificate in Management & Leadership.

He was always a Campaign Team Member; 2008, 2012, 2016. He was also the Research Officer; 2009, 2012, 2013, 20107. And a former Deputy Youth Organizer; 2008-2012.

The committee recommend Mr. Solomon Kotey Nikoi to be re-nominated as MCE. The evidence on the ground showed the tripod worked well. He also understands the functioning of the local government system. He knows the dynamics of the constituency. He campaign well during the election.  The traditional authorities also hailed him for relating well with him.

 

He played the following political roles before becoming MCE: Constituency Chairman, 2018-2019; Constituency First Vice, 2013-2018 and Treasurer, 2009-2013

 

He holds a Diploma in Theology and Psychology, Trinity Theological Seminary and a Diploma in Technician Engineering, Accra Polytechnic, 1993 -1995.

KORLE-KLOTTEY 1. Samuel J. Nii Adjei Tawiah

The committee recommend Mr. Samuel Nii Adjei Tawiah to be renominated as MCE. He has a good knowledge of the workings of the local government system. He also understands the dynamics of the constituency. He has a very good explanation of the constituency profile. The constituents like him a lot because he has been a long standing loyal member of the party. The traditional leaders also extol his virtues. He intends generally transforming the Korle-Klottey into a business hub.

 

He played the following political roles: Member of the National Council, 2018-date; Greater Accra Regional 1st Vice Chair, 2018- to date; Parliamentary Candidate 2008, 2012; and Constituency Chairman, 2005.

 

He holds the following educational qualification: BA (Hon) in Social Policy, Middlesex University, London, 1993-1996; and Advanced Technology Training, Tower Hamlets College, London; 1988-1989.

The committee recommended Mr. Boye Laryea to be nominated as MCE. He knows the dynamics of the constituency. The also gave a deeper explanation of the constituency profile. He campaign vigorously towards the 2020 elections. He visited every corner of the constituency to campaign. He also has a good relation with the traditional rulers. He also has the backing of the majority of the youth in the constituency. The tripod functioning functioned well in his first tenure in office.

 

He played the following political roles: Constituency Youth Organizer, 1997-1999; Deputy Regional Youth Organizer, 1997-1999; Deputy Regional Organizer; 1999-2002 and was also the Parliamentary Candidate, 2008.

 

He holds an Auto Mechanic Certificate, Opportunity Industrial Centre; 1984-1987. Currently pursuing in BA at University of Ghana.

The committee recommend Mr. Joseph Odai Boye to be nominated as MCE. He is currently the Presiding Member of the Assembly. He has good relationship with the chiefs and opinion leaders in the constituency. The youth and party executives like him. He can attract new members to the party. His understanding of the local government system is phenomenal. The knowledge of the constituency profile is at his tips.

 

He has played the following political roles: 1st Vice Chair, 2018 – to date; 2nd Vice Chair; 2013 – to date; Member of the Fund Raising Committee 2012, and Electoral Area Coordinator, Adjiringanor, 2009-2013.

 

He holds a BA, Public Relation Management, UPS, 2017-2021.

The constituency is sharply divided between the PC and MCE. As such, the committee is recommend two people who are not aligned to any of the factions to be nominated for the MCE. Any of the selected will be of good choice to the constituency. The two choices all understand the local government system operations. They both have an in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of the constituency. They both have good relationships with the youth, chiefs, the PC and the MCE.

 

Ing. Felix Tetteh is the current Constituency Secretary. He is a former Treasurer, 2014-2018. He is also a Government Appointee to the Assembly and a former Electoral Area Coordinator (Dengla/Afieye and Laakoi), 2008-2013.

He holds the following educational qualifications: PhD Candidate (Civil Engineering), Atlantic International University; 2020- 2023; Masters in Project Management, AIT (OUM, Malaysia), 2012-2014 and BSc Civil Engineering, Kaaf University College (KNUST; 2010-2012).

 

Samuel Okoe Amanquah has played the following political roles: was the 2020 Deputy Campaign Manager; member of the Fund Raising Committee and a member of the Campaign Team (2004 – 2020).

 

He holds MBA In Finance, Coventry University, UK, 2019 and BSc in Accounting, KNUST, 2016.
