President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s MMDCEs Vetting Committee Reports for Eastern Region has been leaked.

The leaked report was intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh. In the report, the committee has recommended one person for nomination out of the shortlisted applicants.

No applicant was recommended for Kade, Upper West Akim and New Juaben North.

The DCE, Mr. Charles Oware-Tweneboah, has been recommended to be renominated for the DCE position. He has a vision to manage the Assembly in order to attract both Local and Foreign Investors to the district for development.

 

He is currently the DCE of the district.

Some of his achievements since his assumption of duty as the DCE are as follows; dredging of stagnant waters on the Dansor River and its surrounding, one time election of Presiding Member (PM) and grading of Apaa-Feyiase Road.

 

He was a former constituency secretary of Fanteakwa North Constituency; 2012-2016.

 

He holds an MBA in Project Management, Wisconsin International University College, (Accra); 2012-2014. He also holds a BA Political Science, University of Ghana, (Legon, Accra); 1997-2001.

Mr. Lawrence Asare-Dankwa has been recommended by the committee to be nominated for the position of DCE. He has a vision to use his political experience in grassroot politics to be a team player, unite all factions in the party and provide leadership of service.

He is an active member of the NPP since 1992 and has been a member of TESCON – Atebubu Training College; 1993-1996 and KNUST Branch; 2001-2003.

Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu has been recommended by the committee to be renominated for the position of the DCE. His vision is to consolidate the electoral fortunes of the party by ensuring the retention of the parliamentary seat whiles increasing the popular votes of the presidential candidate since the constituency is one of NPP’s strong hold. He is currently the Municipal Chief Executive of the constituency.

He has been the Assemblyman of Beposo Electoral Area (Fanteakwa South Dist) since 2010 and a Presiding Member of the district since 2017.

Mr. Seth Asante is the recommended candidate by the committee to be nominated as District Chief Executive. His vision is to see a self – sufficient and efficient governance system. To see the NPP as the dominant party in the district with efficient structures and improving on its electoral dominance at all elections.

 

He has been an NPP member since 1992, participated actively in, and contributed to NPP’s electioneering, particularly in 2016 and 2020. Additionally, he is a member of Atiwa West District Assembly (President’s Nominee)

The committee recommend Nana Twum Ofosu-Asante to be nominated as the candidate for the MCE position. His vision is to create the best opportunity for the inhabitants in the Municipality through government policies, innovative skills, education and best practices.

 

He is the Regional Coordinator – Eastern Region (Ghana); 2020 to Date. He was also the Circuit Supervisor Ghana Education Service; 2017-2019. He is a Member of the Government Spokesperson Team –Eastern Region; 2018 – Date, Communication Team Member – Abuakwa North Constituency; 2012 – Date, V -20 Group Campaign Member and Constituency Research Team Member.

 

He is a PhD Candidate in Migration Studies, University of Ghana (Legon) and has an Mphil in Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana (Legon); 2016.

 

The committee recommended that, Mr. President should find something for Mr. Alhaji Umar B Bodinga like a Board of Director.

Mrs. Margaret Darko has been recommended by the committee to be renominated as the MCE. As the MCE, she worked well with the constituency executives.

She is currently the Municipal Chief Executive. She is currently the Eastern Region Counsel of Patron. She was the Eastern Regional Women’s Organizer; 2014 – 2017 and the Deputy Eastern Regional Womens Organizer; 2010 – 2014.

 

She holds a  STAGE II, (RSA), Modern Institute of Technology (MIT) Kumasi; 1978 – 1981 and holds a STAGE III, (RSA), Modern Institute of Technology (MIT) Kumasi; 1981-1983.

The committee recommend Mr. Seth Birikorang should be renominated as the DCE.

He is currently the DCE of Akwatia Constituency. In 2020 he was a campaign team member of Akwatia Constituency, he was an NPP representative at the coalition Centre Akwatia constituency;2016 and was the Research and Election officer of Akwatia constituency; 2014 – 2018.

Mr. Kwabena Panin Nkansah is the sole contender and is currently the incumbent. His vision is to provide quality and sustainable socio-economic development for the people to enhance their living conditions and to meet their expectations and aspirations.

He is a Pioneer District Chief Executive, Atiwa East District Assembly; 2018 – Present, 2012 and 2015 Parliamentary Aspirant. Member, Eastern Region MDCEs Association; 2017 to date, Young Executive Forum of the NPP, Ashanti Region 2013 to date.

BIRIM SOUTH

The committee recommend Mr. Asare Danso to be renominated as the DCE. The tripod worked well.

He is currently the DCE of the district.

He acted as polling Agent at the most waterloo spots in Akim Swedru Constituency – Arabic School, Akim Swedru 1992 and 1996. He was TESCON local President (University of Education – Mampong); 1997 -2001 and was the constituency Secretary for Akim Swedru Constituency formerly Achiase and Swedru combined; 2001 – 2019.

 

He has a Bachelor of Education (Degree) in Agriculture – University of Education, Winneba and a Diploma in Agriculture Education – University of Education, Winneba.

BIRIM NORTH

The committee recommend Mr. George Asante to be nominated as the DCE. He is the Presiding Member of the Assembly. He is very sociable, eloquent and exhibited competency. His vision is to create an enabling condition for the party and the general public through the effective implementation of development activities, mobilization of the grassroot and inclusion of traditional authorities for the victory in election 2024.

 

He is currently the Head of Corporate Communications Unit, Metro Mass Transit Limited (Head Office, Accra); 2018 – Date.

 

He is the Chairman, Public Relations and Complaints Committee; 2020 – Date and a Member, Birim North District Assembly Audit Committee; 2020 – Date. Additionally, he was a Constituency, Communications Officer, Abirim Constituency; 2010 – 2012.

 

He holds an MBA in Marketing, University of Cape Coast; 2017 – 2020 and a BSc in Marketing, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration; 2014 – 2016.

 

Both the DCE (Remond Nana Damptey) and the constituency Chairman (Baffor Bannor B. Bannor) belong to two entrenched factions.

Mr. Richmond Amponsah Agyabeng has been recommended by the committee to be re-nominated as the DCE. His vision is to implement policies of the government to benefit his people, providing needed security for peace to prevail in the district and supporting the party leadership at the constituency to make the party attractive to majority of the people in the constituency.

 

He is currently the DCE of the district. He is the dean of Eastern Region MMDCEs; 2017 – Date. He is the Chairman of Eastern Region Association of Presiding Members; 2015 – Date. Additionally, he was the Vice Chairman for the Constituency; 2013 – 2016 and a Member of the Eastern Region NPP campaign team; 2020.

 

He holds a BSc in Human Resource Management, Pentecost University; 2008 – 2011.

AKEMANSA
  1. Paul Asamoah
Mr. Paul Asamoah is the current DCE. No one applied for the position apart from him. The committee recommended him to be re-nominated since the tripod worked well. His vision is to mobilize the relevant stakeholders, resources to achieve the vision of His Excellency the President and to improve upon infrastructure, and living standards of the people in the District.

 

He is the Deputy Dean of Eastern Region MMDCEs; 2017 – Date. He holds a BSc in Human Resource Management, Regent University of Science and Technology; 2007 – 2010.

The committee recommended that Mrs. Victoria Adu be renominated as the MCE for the Municipality. She worked very well with the MP and the party executives.  Her vision is to mobilize resources and involve all relevant stakeholders to improve the living standards of the people in the municipality in order to achieve the vision of the government through interventions and creativity.

 

She was the head teacher at Elshadai M/A JHS (Akim Oda); 2011 – 2019. She was the D-Day Elections Coordinator and Constituency Campaign Team Member – Oda Constituency; 2020. Additionally, she was the Constituency Women Organizer; 2006 – 2019 and an Aseembly Member (Government Appointee); 2017 – 2019.

KWAHU WEST

Mr. Yaw Owusu Addo has been recommended by the committee to be retained as the MCE. His vision is to work tirelessly to support the President to achieve his general objective of building a free, democratic self-reliant country with a higher literacy population.

 

He is presently the MCE of the Municipality. He was an Assembly Member (Government Appointee) of the Kwahu South District Assembly; 2002 – 2004 and a Pioneer Assembly Member (Government Appointee) of the Kwahu West District Assembly; 2004 – 2006. Additionally, he served as the Legal Officer for the Africa Union of Broadcasters (AUB), the continental mouthpiece for all African broadcast institutions based in Dakar, Senegal; 2010 – 2017.

Mr. Isaac Agyapong has been recommended by the committee to be renominated as the DCE due to his good work relationship with the party executives. His vision is to mobilize the relevant stakeholders and resources to execute the President’s vision through excellent service delivery and operating within transparent and accountable local governance.

 

He is currently the DCE. He was an Assembly Member, Bokuruwa Electoral Area, Kwahu East District Assembly; 2011 – 2017. Additionally, he was the Campaign Coordinator, Abetifi Constituency and a Member of Eastern Regional Manifesto Committee; 2020.

Mr. Alex Incoom has been recommended by the committee to be renominated as the DCE due to his good work relationship with the MP. His vision is to make the Assembly a self-sufficient Assembly that empowers its citizens Socially and Economically.

The committee recommended that, Daniel Kenneth Addo should be renominated. His vision is to develop Okere into a tourism hub and work hard to improve and maintain the district to continue being a safe seat for the NPP party.

Mr. Isaac Ofori – Kore is the recommended candidate to be nominated as the DCE by the committee. He is the immediate PC and 2016 PC. His nomination will contribute towards mobilizing the party.

The committee recommend Mr Kojo Ofori-Safo to be renominated as the MCE. The tripod worked well. His mission is to strengthen and expand the fortunes of the party through grassroots participation in local governance and also economic and social empowerment of the people.

Mr. Owusu Banahene Frimpong has been recommended by the committee to be nominated as the DCE. His vision is to help raise funds for the district through levying and collection of property rates and building permit rates.

The committee recommended Mr. Barimah Awuah Asiedu – Larbi to be renominated as the MCE since he has been the MCE for just a year, he needs more time to achieve his vision. The committee recommend Mr. Frank Aidoo to be renominated as the MCE. He was the sole contender. His vision is to complete ongoing projects, make job creation his priority, and promote unity within the party and work to promote the President’s vision.

Mr. Emmanuel Attah Ofori Snr has been recommended by the Committee to be renominated as the MCE. His vision is to ensure that, the Municipality becomes one of the most effective, efficient and accountable in Ghana and in line with the President’s vision.

 

He is currently the MCE; 2017- Date. He is a Member, Eastern Regional Council of Patrons; 2018 – Date. He was the Constituency Chairman, Mpaeso Constituency; 2013 – 2017 and Constituency Treasure; 2008 – 2012. He was the Chairman, Development Planning Sub Committee, Kwahu South Municipal Assembly; 2009 – 2011.

 

He is a BBA- Human Resource Management Student, Christian Service University; 2017 – Date. He holds a New year School – Certificate, University of Ghana, Legon; 2018 -2019.
