The Director-General for the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Eric Nkansah, Ghana Education Service has called on all Regional Directors to alert Schools to apply for the “2023 SCHOOL FARM COMPETITION FOR JUNIOR HIGH AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS”.
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Science Education Unit (National STEM Resource Center) in collaboration with Blue Skies invites interested Junior High and Senior High schools within the selected regions (list attached) to apply for this year’s School Farm Competition.
The Blue Skies School Farm Competition is an initiative of Blue Skies and their partners with the aim of arousing the interest of the youth in pursuing careers along the Agricultural value chain while nurturing positive attitudes about food, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
The Service in a release said interested schools who apply are shortlisted by a team of judges are given inputs (tools and seeds) as well as technical support to help them carry out their projects.
The best schools are awarded prizes based on a set of criterion.
Through this letter, the Management of Ghana Education Service and the Science Education Unit (National STEM Resource Center) humbly ask all the concerned Regional Directors to relay this information to all JHS and SHS schools within their respective regions to apply.
HOW TO APPLY FOR 2023 SCHOOL FARM COMPETITION
Registration can be done online via global.blueskies.com.
The team from Blue Skies should collaborate with the Regional STEM Coordinators within the selected regions to coordinate the project at the regional level.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The deadline for applications is 31st January 2023.
