Ghana ranked 1st in Africa for Gold mining and 7th on global ranking

The Ghanaian mining sector has been profiled higher with ranks among its related working peers.

According to data and records of the second (2nd) quarter of 2021, Ghana’s mining and quarrying sector has intensely contributed an estimated amount of GH¢4.9 billion to the GDP of the country.

Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC) has highlighted some ratings in the mining sector of Ghana.

They said, Ghana has been ranked 1st in Africa for Gold mining.

The Ghanaian mining sector has been garnished with a first (1st) position among her continental Gold mining countries due to a marvellous work done.

On Global rankings, Ghana stood 7th in position despite South African’s great mining skills and expertise when Gold mining comes as a matter for highly discussions regarding mining in large quantities with high profits that boosts economy.

Again, Ghana’s Gold was acknowledged. It was acknowledged due to its accounting for 90 per cent of her total mineral exports.
