Govermment workers/Public sector workers across the country especially teachers express worry over delay in the March, 2021 validation voucher.

Information picked by Coverghana.com.gh indicates that, as of Monday, 22nd March, 2021, validation Voucher for March is not yet ready for validators to validate staff for payment of salaries to Govermment workers including Civil Servants, the Ghana Education Service (GES) staff and all other Public Servants.

Basically, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) is expected to release Salary Payment Voucher a week or two weeks to the end of every month for validators to validate staff for payment of salaries.

Controller begins May Validation; newly recruited teachers paid outstanding arrears

According to the statement issued by Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) on 30th November, 2020, the payment of Salaries and Wages of Civil Servants, the Ghana Education Service (GES) and all other Public Servants for March is scheduled on Friday, 26th March, 2021.

Government workers across the country are worried because, barely four (4) days to the date announced by CAGD, validation Voucher which supposed to be out last week for payment of salaries is not yet available.

Teachers and other workers are therefore calling on the head of IPPD department at the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) to do the needful to avoid non payment of their salaries.
