John-Peter Amewu starts work steadily to fulfill his campaign promises in Hohoe Constituency

The Member of Parliament elect for the Hohoe Constituency John-Peter Amewu has cut the sod for construction of state-of-the-art palace for the Zongo community and their chief within the Constituency.

Mr. Amewu cut the sod for the construction of the project few days after he won the Hohoe Constituency Parliamentary seat against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate.

John-Peter Amewu, who is also the Energy Minister said, the construction of the state-of-the-art palace is in fulfillment of a promise he made to the zongo community 2 days to the election, that should he be elected as Member of Parliament for Hohoe constituency,  he would build an ultra modern palace for the Chief of the zongo community.

According to him, the facility when completed, would be a two-storey with a 1,500 sitting capacity on the ground floor and offices for the chief, opinion leaders and zongo elders on the first floor.

Mr. Amewu disclosed that, the edifice would also have a stocked library and washrooms.

The Project was awarded to Hub Amenyo Company Limited. Mr Kwame Amenyo of the Hub Amenyo Company Limited, the construction firm of the edifice, said palace  would be completed within four to six month duration.
