A motorbike rider carrying a passenger was hit by a Toyota Corolla on the Sogakope-Aflao road at Y-junction near the Sogakope District Hospital on Monday, 11th January, 2020.
Eyewitnesses say a parked tipper truck obstructed the view of the speeding Toyota Corolla from seeing the oncoming rider who was crossing the road.
5 died, many injured in car accident on Sogakope-Tefle road
The Toyota Corolla smashed the rider and his passenger, claiming his life and injuring that of the passenger.
Meanwhile, some youths of Sogakope resorted to building a speed ramp on the road.

According to them, accidents around the Sogakope Y-junction are becoming ‘too much’ hence, their action to block the road.
