The National Democratic Congress held its primaries to elect Parliamentary and Presidential candidates in all the regions and the Volta region was no exception.
In the Volta region some candidates were maintained while new candidates were elected after Saturday’s keenly contested race.

According to the Electoral Commission, Eric Edem Agbana and John Adanu Zewu had a tie. The two aspirants will go for a runoff in the coming days.
