The Electoral Commission of Ghana has released the official results from the Ketu North Constituency in the Just ended NDC Parliamentary primaries.

According to the EC result declaration form there is a tie between Eric Edem Agbana and John Adanu Zewu.

Edem Agbana had 360 votes when it was initially counted and John Adanu had 359 votes. However the agent of John Adanu called for a recount of his votes when counting for Shakas Seglah an aspirant was about to begin, the recount was done which still stood at 359 when it was recounted.

The agents of Adanu later brought an official complain to the EC for recount of all ballots which the EC obliged and did in the full glare of the agents.

From the ballot recount, it was detected that two of the ballots for Edem Agbana were not stamped which brought his votes to 358, it was also detected during the recount that one ballot of John Adanu was also not stamped which also reduced his votes to 358.

This recount also affected Tanko who initially had 176 votes also had two of his ballots not stamped which also reduced his votes to 174.

Account to the Electoral Commission, while this phase of the recounting was ongoing Edem Agbana had left the center.
