The National Democratic Congress has announced that the party will be holding a Vigil in Honour of the founder of their Party Former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The first President of the fourth Republic of Ghana who is also the Former President Jerry John Rawlings who is the founder of the opposition National Democratic Congress unexpectedly joined his after a short illness.
Announcing the Party’s plan to hold a Vigil in Honour of Jerry John Rawlings, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia explained that they are not going to wait for seven days commemoration or anything because the celebration of Jerry John Rawlings begins immediately.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia said;
“We’re not waiting for seven days commemoration or anything, the celebration of our founder begins immediately and that on Sunday, there will be a Vigil from 5:30pm to 12:00 midnight at the Kwame Nkrumah circle.
The best way to honour the legacy of President Jerry John Rawlings is to preach his principles of probity and accountability and to make sure that this nation is not Governed by people who practice Corruption, nepotism and the other bed fellows”
