NIA releases timetable for its mop-up mass registration exercise

The National Identification Authority (NIA) will begin a mop-up mass registration exercise on Thursday, 18th June, 2020.

According to the NIA, the exercise will be done across the country except the Eastern Region where the mass registration exercise was suspended.

In the statement issued by the Head of Corporate Affairs ACI Francis Palmdeti of National Identification Authority (NIA) sighted by Coverghana.com.gh the NIA will continue the Mass Registration Exercise in Eastern Region which was suspended on 21st March 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to them, the exercise in the Eastern region will take place from 18th June, 2020 to 27th June, 2020.

Below is the registration schedule for the mop-up exercise across the country.

The National Identification Authority is expecting a total of 16.7million Ghanaians would have been registered and issued with Ghana cards when the mop-up exercise is completed.
