The Ghana Police Service Administration has declared the entire State House Complex, Accra International Conference Centre, Accra Sports Stadium and the Black Star Square as security Zones for the 7th January, 2021 inauguration.
According to the Police Administration, heavy security personnel deployed across those areas to give adequate and effective security to individuals including the Preaident elect, Vice President elect and Members of Parliament elect across the 275 Constituencies.

In a statement issued by the Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman (Mrs.), the
Superintendent of Police, Director of Public Affairs, the Police would perform ceremonial duties including bearing the State Sword; performance by the Police Band; escort by the Police Mounted Squadron and motorcade in addition to providing security.
The security measures are in connection with the inauguration of the President Elect of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo; Vice President Elect, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; Speakers and Members of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic on 7th January, 2021 at Accra.
Know your public holidays and commemorative days for 2021
The public are hereby advised to stay off the immediate vicinity of the above locations in Accra on 6th and 7th January, 2021. According to the Police, these places would be secured and patrolled by security personnel. Crash barriers would also be mounted at certain areas to cordon off and control movements to these venues, with security personnel directing movement.
They further said, only persons bearing invitation cards or accreditation would be allowed entry into the specified venues on 6th or 7th January, 2021. Meanwhile, there would be overt and covert operations in the communities surrounding the State House Complex.
