Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced date for teaching and non-teaching staff of the Service to return to school for academic works after the call off of industrial action by Teacher Unions.
According to management of Ghana Education Service (GES), they have taken note of the successful completion of the negotiations between the Government of Ghana and Organized Labour on the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).
In a statement signed by the DirectorGeneral of GES Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, the Service has also taken note of the announcement of the Pre-tertiary Education Unions calling off the strike effective 14th July, 2022.
Following the call off of the industrial strike by the Teacher Unions on Thursday, 14th July, 2022, GES has director all Regional Directors of Education to ensure that both teaching and non-teaching staff of the Service in their respective regions return to school on Monday, 18th July, 2022 and start full academic work.
With this directive, all teaching and Non-teaching Staff of GES are directed to resume work on Monday, 18th July, 2022.
