The Black Stars of Ghana have qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after the captain for the match, Thomas Partey scored an early goal.
The Black Stars started the game with full determination and tactical display against the Supper Eagles of Nigeria leading to an early in their favor.
The game which ended with a 1-1 draw at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja saw Thomas Partey scoring a tactical goal.
Thomas Partey got the ball outside the 18-box and strike, which sneaks under the Nigerians goalkeeper, at the 10th minutes played of the first half.
It was a crucial game for Thomas Partey at Moshood Abiola Stadium in front of massive Nigeria fans.
After the goals, the Nigeria players mounted pressure on the Black Stars leading to an equalizer penalty taken by Troost-Ekong barely 12 minutes after Partey’s goal.
It became a tag of war for the Black Stars to qualify by defending the goal until the 90th minutes was over, qualifying them for Qatar.
It came as joy for the Black Stars and Ghananians as they qualified for 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars earlier played a 0:0 draw with the Supper Eagles of Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on 25th March, 2022.
