Some Facebook users believe to be the people of Volta Region have descended heavily on the South Tongu District Chief Executive Mr. Emmanuel Louis Agama following his “skirt and blouse comment”.

On Wednesday, 11th November, 2020, the District Chief Executive of South Tongu District Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel Louis Agama has served a word of caution to individuals championing anything skirt and blouse in the Volta Region ahead of the December 2020 polls.

Though the DCE was not specific on personalities he made reference to, some individuals in the Region concluded that, his comment was directed to some NPP Parliamentary Candidates who are only projecting themselves without campaigning for the flagbearer of the party His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the Volta Region

His comment and call for the people to vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo angered some Facebook users who decended heavily on him.

In his Facebook post intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, the South Tongu District Chief Executive indicated that, the Presidential Candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also needs votes in the upcoming general elections.

“Those championing skirt and blouse in Volta Region should stop. We need votes for our Presidential candidate too.” He said.

He therefore appealed to the people of Volta Region to give the New Patriotic Party government and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo another four (4) more years to do more for Ghanaians.

In his response to a Facebook user by the name Scofields Kwesi Zigi who challenged the DCE by saying “You got to be serious. Of what use has been your government to the region??” Mr. Agama said, “what did the Volta Region get for being a world bank for several yes for voting for NDC?”

In another querry, a Facebook user Collins Atsu Kove who hails from the Volta Region asked the DCE to state what the Volta Region has gotten from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. A question the DCE is yet to respond to. “Emmanuel Agama please what did the volta region get from the NPP for the past three to almost four years?” Mr. Collins Atsu Kove asked.

Though the DCE has not provided any answer to the question, another Facebook user Chris Jahdre Anelka who replied Collins Atsu Kove believes that, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be defeated in the December 2020 Presidential elections. “Collins Atsu Kove NDC will lost again that’s  fact” He said.

Another Facebook user Francisco Moisture Dempsey also jabs the DCE by saying “We can’t vote for npp so that Gabby, Ken Ofori Atta, Bamty and co will Come and steal our money again, so skirt and blouse will be the best for this country this 2020”
