The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced the Regional Breakdown of the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
According to WAEC Regional Breakdown, 221,437 male candidates and 224,884 female candidates were registered for this year’s WASSCE representing a total of 446,321 candidates in all.
The data shows that, the Ashanti region has registered the highest WASSCE candidates of 108,485 followed by Eastern, Central and Greater Accra regions.

According to WAEC, 651 Public Schools and 314 Private Schools making a total number of 965 Participating Schools were registered across 796 examination centres in the country.
