Woyome donates additional streetlights to Assembly Members in his Consituency

The South Tongu Lawmaker, Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome has donated additional streetlights to Assembly Members across the forty (40) Electoral Areas within his Constituency.

Each Assembly Member present has received two (2) LED streetlights from the MP on Tuesday, 6th April, 2021 at his residence at Dabala to be mounted within their Electoral Areas.

According to the MP, he had ordered for over five-hundred (500) more streetlights to be distributed across the Electoral Areas. He disclosed that, his office is expected to distribute about one-thousand (1,000) streetlights across the entire Constituency.

“I will also distribute additional streetlights on my thank you tour across the District” He explained.

Addressing the media after the donation, Mr. Woyome has also pledged to take the cost of mounting the streetlights across the Electoral Areas.

He also assigned an electrician to the Electoral Areas to help fix the streetlights free for each Assembly Member.

Mr. Kobena Woyome told the media that, the idea behind the donation is to improve on the existing security within the Electoral Areas at night to prevent criminal activities among many.

The Member of Parliament has earlier donated over two-hundred (200) streetlights across the forty (40) Electoral Areas within his Constituency.

In an interview with Coverghana.com.gh, he appealed to the Assembly Members to cultivate the habit of maintenance culture.

The South Tongu MP further explained the misconception that, he is not doing anything within the Constituency. According to him, he is a type who never make noise on social media on his donation but, it appears people are using it against him as a non performing MP. He therefore promised to engage the Media on the slightest things he will donate within the Constituency.
