Woyome resumes second phase of his Town Hall Meeting and Thank You Tour


Mr. Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency has resumed the second phase of his Town Hall meeting and Thank You Tour to continue his appreciation and engagements with the people of South Tongu after he won the December 2020 general elections.

Mr. Woyome began the Phase two of the Town Hall meeting and Thank You Tour on Wednesday, 21st April, 2021 after the first Phase ended on Friday, 16th April, 2021.


He started phase one of the programme on Tuesday, 13th April, 2021 within the Constituency where opportunities were given to Constituents for questions and clarifications on current issues around the party and governance.

The Lawmaker within the first Phase of his activities visited the Constituents in the following communities; Tordzinu, Tsavanya, Awuyakope, Gordorkope, Dabala Junction, Agorhome, Sukladzi, Agbokope, Agbogbla, Tosukpo, Havorkope and Tsiveto.

The second phase of the programme which began on Wednesday saw the MP and some Constituency party executives at Atravenu, Kpenu, Agblorkpovia, Agblorkpovia, Hlortorto, Nyinuto and Atsiaghorkope.

The Deputy Chairman of the Volta Regional MPs Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome in his speech extended his appreciation to the constituents for their massive votes in the December 2020 General Elections.

He also used the opportunity to enlightened the people on Parliamentary proceedings in the ‘hang’ 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic and encouraged them to support the party to win the 2024 General Elections to redeem Ghana from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) govermment.

The MP reiterated that, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and NPP didn’t win the 2020 Presidential Election. According to him, the Electoral Commission led by Mrs. Jean Mensa has stolen the Peoples’ verdict for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo against John Dramani Mahama.

Finally, he conveyed the appreciation of former President and the 2020 Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama to the people and beseach them to be united, love and forgive one another so as to work together towards 2024 General Elections.

The MP is expected to continue the Town Hall meeting and Thank You Tour untill May, 2021.
