The Electoral Commission of Ghana under the leadership of Mrs. Jean Mensa has issued guidelines that the commission will employ in the process of registering citizens in the compilation of the new Voters’ register towards the December 2020 polls.

In the past few months, the Electoral Commission has come under a lot of pressure for it’s decision to go ahead with the compilation of a new voter’s register even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country in spite of His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s ban on all social gatherings of more than twenty five (25) people to help contain and curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
