The Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency Honourable Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome has donated plastic chairs and bags of cement to Dordoekope Health Centre in the Dordoekope Electoral Area of South Tongu.

The Lawmaker has donated a total of twenty (20) plastic chairs and twenty five (25) bags of cement to the Health Centre amounting to two thousand, nine hundred and seventy-five Ghana cedis (GH¢2,975.00).

In an interview with Hon. Woyome, he said, the request of the cement bags was to support a Self Initiated Project to build nurses quarters for health workers.

He again said, the plastic chairs were donated to address challenges people who attend the clinic and the health workers face due to non availability of seats.

The Dordoekope Health Centre serves the people of Dordoekope Electoral Area, Keseve-Dikato-Akligbekope Electoral area, Dzetorkoe-Tove Electoral Area and Agbadzakope Electoral Area in the South Tongu Constituency.

According to the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Youth, Sports and Culture Committee, he earlier renovated the clinic and supplied some Health consumables towards the smooth and effective delivery of healthcare through the District Health Directorate.

Speaking at the event, the South Tongu Communications Officer of NDC Mr. Michael Gati explained that, the MP has been supporting the facility through the District Health Directorate over the years.

The items were handed over to the Planning Committee of the Self-Initiated Project by Mr. Michael Gati.

The Assembly Member of Dzetorkoe-Tove Electoral area – Mr. Amos Akorli and Madam Filicia Agah – Assembly Member for Keseve-Dikato-Akligbekope Electoral Area who doubled as Planning Committee Members of the Easter event assisted the Administrator of the District Health Directorate Mr. Bismark Hottordze to receive the items on behalf of the the Health Committee of the facility and the good people of the entire four Electoral Areas.
