Former President John Dramani Mahama arrives at the Supreme Court for the hearing of his petition, challenging the results of the 2020 Presidential election.

The 2020 Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has arrived a while ago for today’s proceedings involving amendment of motion filed by the Petitioner and other pretrial hearing on 14th January, 2021.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear a motion from John Dramani Mahama, the 2020 Presidential Candidate of National Democratic Congress (NDC) seeking to amend some errors in his petition challenging the outcome of the 2020 general elections.

Supreme Court grants Mahama’s request for live telecast of election petition hearing

Today marks the begging of the Supreme Court’s 42 days election Petition hearing as the Supreme Court is expected to give judgement on the case within forty-two (42) days from the date petition was filed by any Petitioner.

On Wednesday, 30th December, 2020, the lawyers of the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama (Petitioner) has filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election results.

The hearing on the election Petition, according to the Supreme Court will end on January 20, 2021 to pave way for the court to consider legal arguments and evidences presented.
