PHOTOS: Pupils of Botwekrom Primary School learning in a “Pool of Water”


The pupils of Botwekrom Primary School in the Wassa Amenfi East District of the Western Region have been spotted studying in dilapidated classrooms.

In viral photos Intercepted by , the pupils are seen studying in a very dilapidated and muddy classrooms.

The Information gathered indicates that, during the raining season, the classrooms turn into “a pool of water” for toads/frogs and other living organisms.


The information available also added that, all attempts to get the government to help build a befitting class block for the Botwekrom community has failed.

The situation we are told has forced the residents to bring to social media the nature of the dilapidated classrooms calling for support.

According to some of them, they don’t understand what is going wrong with Ghana’s educational system. “How is the national cake being distributed? Do we have priority schools? “These and many questions are being asked by some Ghanaians in respect to our educational system.

The residents of the community are therefore appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to build a new 6-unit classroom block with its auxiliary offices for the community to enhance teaching and learning.
