The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) has director Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives across the fourteen (14) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) within the region to contribute a mandatory amount of GH¢49,000.00 towards the Regional Minister father’s funeral.
According to the letter signed by the Chief Director/RCD Mr. Fredrick Agyemang, the money is part of an agreed contribution towards the Final Funeral Rites of the Late Nana Boanyina Adusei Mensah II-Boanimhene, father of the Hon. Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah (MP).
This follows a discussion with the Deans of the MMDCEs and MMDCDs on the above subject matter that, all MMDA is to contribute the following amount towards the final funeral rites of the late father of the Hon. Regional Minster-Nana Boanyina Adusei Mensah II, Boanimhene which is scheduled to take place between 23 and 25th September, 2021 at Boanim in the Ashanti Region.

CATEGORY OF MMDCEs CONTRIBUTIONS
The MMDCEs were classified under three categories to contribute the money towards the funeral.
CATEGORY A MMDCEs
The following category of MMDCEs are directed to contribute an amount of GH¢5,000.00 each towards the Regional Minister Father’s funeral. The Districts are;
1. STMA
2. Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal
3. Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal,
4. Ellembelle District
5. Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assemblies
CATEGORY B MMDCEs
The following category of MMDCEs are directed to pay GH¢ 3,500.00 each to the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC).
1. Ahanta West Municipal
2. Wassa Amenfi East Municipal
3. Wassa Amenfi West Municipal and
4. Jomoro Municipal

CATEGORY C MMDCEs
The five (5) underlisted MMDCEs were directed to pay GH¢ 2,000.00 each to the Regional Coordinating Council towards the funeral.
1. Wassa East District
2. Shama District
3. Wassa Amenfi Central District
4. Nzema East Municipal and
5. Mpohor District Assemblies
The letter has directed all MMDAs to pay the monies to the Regional Accountant – WRCC (Room 19) by close of work on Monday 20th September, 2021.
