Agric Ministry partners PULA to provide insurance products for farmers

The Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of PULA Ms. Rose Golinga has met the Minister for Food and Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto to discuss pertinent issues on Agriculture sector.

According to the Minister, the company PULA will work with Ghana, through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to provide insurance products for farmers.

PULA is an agricultural insurance and technology company that designs delivers innovative agricultural insurance and digital products to help smallholder farmers.

Also, they help farmers to endure yield risks, improve their farming practices, and bolster their incomes over time.

For the support of agricultural activities in Ghana, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the Minister of Food and Agriculture met Ms Rose Golinga and discussed strategies for the Ghanaian market in providing insurance products.

The Minister also touched on the rain challenges farmers face in the country

He said that , “we discussed strategies for the Ghanaian market in providing insurance products for farmers that will make them climate resilient in the face of less predictable rainsĀ  rise in temperatures and therefore see how they can become more resilient and adopt towards change through using tools like insurance.”
