Preaident Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo delivers his State of the Nation Address in Parliament today, Tuesday, 5th January, 2021.

This marks his last State of the Nation Address (SONA) as President of the Republic of Ghana between January 7, 2016 and January 2021.

The President’s address comes ahead of his inaugural ceremony as the President elect during the December 2020 general elections to serve for another four more years.

After the president’s address, the 7th Parliament of Ghana will be dissolved on Wednesday, 6th January, 2021 for inauguration of newly elected Members of Parliament, the president elect and his Vice President on 7th January, 2021.

NPP elects Parliamentary Leadership for the 8th Parliament

This follows the expiration of the seventh Parliament of the Fourth (4th) Republic to pave way for swearing-in of new MPs.
