Surprisingly, their members who traveled from different parts of the region for an engagement with the Flagbearer on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 were made to wait in vain for the meeting from 7pm to 10pm without any explanation from the Party officials at whose behest members gathered. The meeting according to them did not come off meanwhile they have incurred huge sums of debt.

Meanwhile, the Region Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a press statement signed by the Communications Director Mr. Pope Yao Yevoo has since condemned the action of the National Democratic Congress to Volta Journalists.
